Geode has spent a good part of his life where the light never shines. Having been created by an ancient being at the bottom of the ocean, his world is one of cold, pressure, unusual creatures, and a sense of timelessness. Any light at his normal levels is emitted by the creatures themselves... as he has the bulb on his head to help him navigate.

When he was young, he was very curious about the upper layers and - though it was a deadly thought for most - above the surface of the water. It took a long time and patience to train his body to adapt to the lack of pressure as he moved further and further up. While the metal and gems he is formed from are tough, the magic that holds them together had to be adapted for different amounts of weight. After much practice, and getting used to moving around in light, Geode was finally able to reach the surface... where he was utterly entranced.

Since then he has a tendency to hang out above the water quite often. The strong, curious creature is known to rescue dragons lost at sea and bring them back to the shore. Solitary for the most part, but not unfriendly, Geode was flattered when one of the dragons he rescued invited him to be a part of their lair. Chaotic Daydreams embraced everyone, and he wasn't required to leave his home to move into theirs... just to consider their territory a second home.

So now Geode splits his time between the deep sea and the friends and family he's made at his land-side lair. They are always glad to see him, and the little golem really enjoys bringing home oddities from the deeps to show his clan.
