TzL41VU.jpg Being born close to the Pillar of the World , Buttercup feels a strong connection to the earth.
Following his parents wish to pursue an academical career, he picked up studying Geology and Archeology.

However, he never felt quite Content with this career. Something was missing... althought he spend most of his days close to the earth, analysing different kinds of soils, exploring old ruins and caverns, he still felt too disconnected from his element.
So one day, he just packed his things and left. Of course he still lets his parents believe, he continues his studies, and that he merely is spending some exspanded semesters abroad.
For a long time he didn't know what to do except travel, hoping to find his true calling.
In the Blacksand Annex, he stayed for a few monts, visiting a clan of blacksmiths, which taught him the basics of forging and smiting. But still that wasn't it.
