H O L A N T H R U S

CLAN LEADER &&. SIARL &&. ETC.

Holanthrus grew up in a loving ice nest not too far from her newest home. Accustomed to the cold lands of icewarden she always had enough, or so she thought growing up. The skies were bright and the air crisp, nothing ever seemed to change, and to a young Holi, that was dull. What was there to do in a land of nothing but ice and snow? Nothing. During her hatchling years the ice and snow had been a winter wonderland, all she could see after maturing was a vast world of nothing. There was no life, or so she thought. It was by far too plain and dull, so why not find a new home? And so with a warm embrace she left her parent’s clan and went in search of her own lands to call home.

She made a quick stop to the Starfall Isles, only staying a few nights to regain her strength before making her way to visit the land of her ancestry. While she was born in ice, her people were not from the frozen wasteland, no no. Her race belonged to the great deity Earthshaker, in the land of Dragonhome. What better way to start her journey to self-discovery as to visit the land of her people? And once there she had stayed for many moons. Enjoying herself greatly with other dragons that could understand her and had the same sleep cycle as she did. However she did not find what she was looking for there. And so her quest continued, searching for something, anything to make her feel alive.

It wasn’t till she waddled her way into the Viridian Labyrinth that she felt home. Not because of the lands or their beliefs, but because of a dragon. She had met Siarl while out gathering for herself, alone and silent. He had approached her and welcomed her into his small den, another solitary dragon. He too had been looking for something to live for, something to hold onto and keep him grounded –being a snapper that wasn’t much of a problem. Together they decided to venture off as a team, in search of whatever it was that they needed in their existence.
The next destination? The Tangled Wood.

The darkness surrounded them from every corner, the only light to guide their path was the scattered mushrooms along the ground that spread up into the trees, like an infection of the earth. While frightening, the sight was beautiful. Pinecones and mushrooms…that was it, and yet somehow more beautiful than the lush green forests of Nature. While Holanthrus found the lands beautiful, she wasn’t ready to settle down just yet, there was nothing really…popping to her, other than the beautiful land.

It wasn’t until their third week in the shadow lands that she found something. A small and lonely egg. It wasn’t like any she had ever seen before. Smaller than most, and ribbed…purple like a shadow egg, but nothing like it should be. She had shown Siarl and asked what she should do with it. However he had been too distracted by the towering kingdom of ruin before him. The large den was only part of the beauty before them. It seemed as though a great clan had once lived in these part of the wood. Everything already laid out, abandoned and run over, but everything could easily be seen before them. What had befallen here? They did not know, but Holi knew that she had found her home.
