Biography
Quote:
A Tundra sits by a wall adjacent to the lair's entrance. His fur is slicked in paint, some dried and some not, as he traces patterns on the stone with his claws.
YORKO
ARTIST TRANS MALE HE/HIM, HOMOROMANTIC ASEXUAL Yet another young Tundra taken under the wing of the clan patriarch Marshal, Yorko has the same artistic vision of Neos but lacks the other Tundra's confidence. He is frail, having wasted away from disease as an infected Wind dragon, but is still peppy and friendly among his fellow dragons, carrying over that bubbly visionary personality Wind dragons are known for. He loves to paint and often will stand on his hind legs for hours, coated in paint, marking up the walls with his art. No one seems to mind--for Plague dragons living in the wastes, it is nice to have a bit of color in their home. He is a child at heart, easily distracted and overwhelmed by emotion often. Yorko is aware of how childish he is, however, and proudly states he embraces it. However, his zeal and tendency to chatter has driven many dragons away, not to mention his love of and obsession with collecting spiders. |
Yorko claims to have come from the Wind flight, but not much can be done to confirm this. Similar to Nightingale, he claims to not recall much of his past, though he is optimistic in saying it does not matter when he has a home now. Yorko was originally discovered by Marshal wounded in the Scarred Wasteland and was unconscious for two whole days before coming to. Now that he has settled into The Clan of the Wounded, it has been noted he is a very weak Tundra. Too weak, in fact, to even fly, as his wings are like paper. Marshal, reminded of his own home and younger siblings, nurtured him for his recovery time and continues to watch him carefully. As of now, Yorko is allowed outside, but greatly dissuaded from going out regardless. He has taken a keen interest in Neos and his strange electrical artistry, but cannot find it in himself to figure out how to talk to him. Yorko has also become close with the runemaster Photophobious, assisting him in marking his runes with paint patterns to let the other clan dragons know where not to step. He is the first dragon Yorko has actually been able to talk to openly and be himself around, and he could not be more grateful for that connection he has been so long without.
Something is odd about Yorko, but no one in the clan can quite figure it out. Beyond his mysterious roots, of course, something else seems to be afflicting him. Some dragons, like Marshal and Stella, have taken notice of odd behavior in him including blackouts, fainting spells and a strange aversion to the flight deck from which soon-to-be exalted dragons leave with pride for their new journeys. This was originally attributed to whatever blight had weakened him to the point he is at now, but... now, it seems to be an affliction beyond the Plaguebringer's creation.
