 It's easy to get lost when wandering the Starwood Strand, especially if -- like many others -- you find your eyes drawn to the sky and the twinkling branches above you rather than more mundane concerns like where you're going. And those who get lost in the Starwood can suffer terrible fates ...

Starsoul doesn't rescue people from those fates, unless he's in a very good mood. That's not really his lookout, and most visitors to the Starwood never even spot him, his tiny form camouflaged by the branches on his head. He looks like he's part of the forest -- because he is part of the forest. Those branches of star wood on his head given him a special connection to the Starwood itself; he understands it like no other.

Not even his mate, Woodsheart, shares Starsoul's exact type and level of insight: while Woodsheart's concerns are more earthly, Starsoul can usually be found in the trees' highest branches, monitoring the flow of magic between the forest and the rest of the Starfall Isles -- and the stars above. He basks in this magic, feeling connected to the entire Isles, to the entire cosmos.

And should anything disrupt that flow ... Well, Starsoul may be small, but with all that celestial power at his clawtips, he's not to be taken lightly.
