┌━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┐
The morning sun rose bright and brilliant over the ocean, its rays dancing across the waves’ surface. Gulls soared and dove over the ocean, eager for their breakfast, calling to one another and watching the world from above with keen eyes. Tiny crabs scurried across the sun-kissed sand, finding secluded spots to lay their eggs and avoid the detection of the gulls above. Several of them had found refuge under the wing of a large slumbering dragon, stretched out on the sandy beach and blissfully unaware of the morning excitement.

A gull landed on one of the dragon’s long, sloping horns tinted a robin-egg blue, impatient for the dragon to rise and reveal its morning meal. When the dragon showed no sign of stirring, the gull hopped onto its face, reaching down with its neck to peck the scaly top of the Guardian’s head.

With an enormous yawn, Circe cracked open an eye as the end of her tail flicked forward, flushing the gull from its irksome perch. As it flew, the gull cried out, and Circe’s maw cracked open in a gentle smile. Fully awake now, she stretched and rose to her feet, snapping playfully at the gulls that dove on the crabs below to give the critters a chance to seek shelter elsewhere. With a final shake of her head, Circe leapt into the sky and flew low over the ocean, its salty spray glistening on her scales.

Like her parents, Circe had always felt most at home by the sea, and although she now flew over a different ocean than they, in a way, the water connected them even still. These days, Circe dwelled on whatever beaches she could find, traveling along with her nomadic clan and making countless friends along the way. With an easygoing and open nature, the female loved meeting new acquaintances, especially fellow travelers such as herself. She had a habit of collecting new clan members, determined to make them feel welcome in any way she could. No matter where she went or who she met during the day, however, Circe always returned to the ocean at night, eager to greet each dawn with the sound of rushing waves and the cries of gulls.
