Madrak

Rikki and Madrak were a long-mated couple when Esh joined the clan. A gentle and solemn dragon with a mind as deep as the blue of his hide, Esh was immediately drawn to the more vibrant and outgoing Rikki, but his strict ethical code would not allow him to intrude on an already-bonded pair. Instead, he worked to make friends with Madrak, and the two became close.

Madrak's talent for understanding other dragons' emotions was well known within the clan, although Esh, the newcomer, hadn't yet encountered it. Quickly grasping the nature of Esh's personal dilemma, he had a private discussion with Rikki that ended in the two of them going to Esh and inviting him into their bond. The three of them became the clan's first mated trio, raising all Rikki's clutches together and always deciding as a group which of the males will sire Rikki's next brood. They're very happy together.
