This dragon is part of the trench subspecies, a water and shadow elemental hybrid! They can use magic and exhibit traits from both flights.
Trench hybrids are often a danger to both themselves and others. The power to see the future is entertaining to them, often nothing more than a game. Water dragons are known for viewing multiple future outcomes, but never revealing them to outsiders. The shadowy side of Trench hybrids have them focusing on the more sinister futures, and they enjoy dropping hints or dangling information as bait, sometimes even using their predictions as a form of currency.
