Definition of Nadir: The lowest point in the fortunes of a person or organization.

The Fall
It is said that before Hope hatched, her brother arrived into the world and brought with him a great blessing. For an entire hour, the area surrounding the Gaoler nest experienced extreme fortune. Everything was working out for every good dragon, while nothing worked out for the evil dragons. For one peaceful moment, the zenith of civilization seemed to finally be reached. Her brother was instantly recognized to have a great power. Then Hope hatched. In a single second, everything snapped and raced downhill. A fire raged through the Province, three wars were declared, Queen Swamplurk fell from the castle balcony, and the king became deathly ill. Dragons that had been wealthy moments before suddenly lost everything. A new disease crept across the area. Nadir had come quickly. Her father died moments later. A solemn knowledge was revealed--Hope had great power as well. As she grew up, Hope felt guilty, even though nobody believed it was her fault. She changed her name to Nadir in grave sorrow, then left the Province after one final goodbye. Now, she would find her destiny elsewhere. Perhaps a place that would not be affected by her presence.
