Mango came to Bluebird’s Roost from The Beacon of the Radiant Eye. As a young dragon, he would look out from the cliffs and wonder about the world beyond the horizon. As he grew older, he could no longer resist the temptation to explore, and so he set out across the Shifting Expanse, and the Ashfall Waste, and finally settled in the Windswept Plateau. Although he doesn’t speak of his travels very often, he kept a journal of his travels which many of the dragons of Bluebird’s Roost have read.

Mango was already a strong fighter when he arrived at Bluebird’s Roost. He studied a bit further under Natsu’s tutelage, but he wasn’t truly interested in the life of a warrior. He began flying messages to the hunting and scavenging parties. Now he’s the clan’s best messenger. Occasionally he accompanies Haru on short trips, and helps her carry home the treasures that she procures, especially if those treasures include books. His hurricane herald is his assistant, and can often be found scurrying about the main territory of the clan, picking up and sorting messages.

Mango is sociable enough when he’s out on delivery, but taciturn outside of his duties. No one knows where he and Araluen nest, as Araluen has hidden the location cunningly. The inside is a comfortably untidy mess of Ara's shiny treasures and Mango's piles of books and scrolls.
