Everyone thought that Harold had chosen the worst possible place for his lair when he decided to live on damp ground, surrounded by rotting logs. Most dragons would not want to live in the damp, mildew-y hollow of a fallen tree. Harold is not most dragons.

What his home lacks in comfort and style, it makes up for in...bugs? What other dragons would view as an unpleasant infestation, Harold saw as an opportunity. He started farming insects in the rotting logs around his nest. The endeavor was a surprising success, and the increase in bugs has made it so that the insect-eating dragons don't have to spend as much time searching for food.

It was a bit of a surprise when Harold began courting Celestine, an quiet, elegant snapper from the digging team. Celestine is as passionate about rocks as Harold is bugs. Their (constantly damp) nest is cluttered with bits of sparkly things she brings back from digging.

Recently a few other dragons have moved in near them, in spite of the uncomfortable conditions, to help out with the bugs. Wit seems determined to figure out selective breeding. Moren is turning into a bit of a gourmet. And Haran may just be in it for the snacks -- only time will tell.
