Hatchery

The clan’s nesting grounds are beneath the earth, branching off from the Hibernal Chambers. Pepper has found herself tending to the nests more than anything else. She clusters all five nests together in one spot, surrounding her Flameshell Glypto familiar, and wraps her long, fluffy body around the eggs for insulation. The heat from her familiar and her own thick fur keep them a steady temperature, and the shards protruding from her flank help prevent buildup of pesky lightning glass.

Once any eggs reach their last day of incubation, Pepper then returns them to their starting nest, where they can hatch freely. Dainty keeps track of incubation periods for each nest, and notifies the parents when their little ones are due to meet the world.

Some of the bonded-for-life pairs in the clan ask her with promoting their hatchlings to the outside world, to let them go out and live a full life away from the fairly rooted life in the Tower. Pepper organized a hatchery for these eager parents, and keeps note of their respective eggs and children.
