Biography
A monumentally massive beast found within the depths of the Shrieking Wilds.
It stands unmoving in a devastated clearing. Shattered fragments of stone buildings and splintered trees spiral outward from itself, but everything overgrown, as if it's been that way for a very long time.
Some neighboring clans have been known to leave it tribute as they pass, in hopes that it does not turn its attention to them, in fear that they might return to only ruin.
These tributes are a wide variety of items, as each lair seems to have different impressions on what it might consider 'worthy'. Things are generally placed around the edges of the clearing, in the direction closest to the clan's lair. Trying to take items, or even leave tribute at some other clan's area is considered a kind of sabotage and cause for immediate violence.
At the south-western edge, strung along the branches of a close group of young trees, one would find necklaces of feathers and beads. Some have hollowed bits of wood, bone, or rarely, metal, so that they clink and chime with wind or movement. As they think it is a better addition if you can add to a pre-existing pattern, there have started to become many intricate webs. Some even stretching across to other trees.
To the east is a bone structure draped with hide. A large upturned shell sits in the middle that fresh kills are laid out on. This group had started off very simply. Small bits of meat left where no animal could easily reach. But as the meat is always gone by the time another passed and all questioned swear they did not touch it, things eventually became more elaborate.
To the north there is a clan that has a great many tailors. Over a period of a few weeks they brought a mountain of cotton and then kept bringing over large mismatched sheets of of cloth to drape over it. The other clans were massively confused with this tapestry pile, until one night the whole clan, while making sure no others were passing by their building site, constructed a massive effigy of the monster ravaging the lands of Light, and had the gall to actually have it hauled into the clearing. No other clan can quite understand what sort of meaning they are putting behind this, though one quickly shushed hatchling once wondered if it was because it looked so lonely standing there.
