Vermillion

At a wooden desk, worn smooth by use, sits a bright red imperial, surprisingly hidden ,despite his color, by the many dangling plants and shrubs that hang from planters all around the room. He looks up from a well-loved book with flowers pressed between the pages, to see his favorite guest, Honeydew. She smiles at him, and slides past the counter toward his desk and a door way to a storage room. Sitting on a pillow behind the desk she begins to pour over what appears to be an accounting book, with her tail gently resting on his. With a sweet simile, he curls her tail just a little closer.
