Venus's arrival was largely unexpected, as she simply turned up in Sam's outdoor garden one day while its caretaker slept. She was seen walking among the plants Sam had managed to cultivate, sniffing buds and brushing leaves with her wings. Considering Veilspun dragons as a species had been absent from Sornieth for so long, it was nothing short of bizarre that one had seemingly turned up overnight.

According to Venus herself, the branches that grow from her horns had been suffering recently, struggling to flower and thrive until she came near the clan's sanctuary, when the withered plant life that had become part of her body suddenly perked back up again. She found her way to the small garden, impressed by its presence in the wastes of the Plague Flight. There were no objections from any of the other dragons when Venus expressed a desire to stay.
Venus does feel rather out of place, and admittedly guilty for just inviting herself into the clan, though Sam assures her this is a new home she is very welcome in. As of now, Sam is one of the only dragons she speaks to regularly, and as thanks for the welcome into the clan and the great boost of health the garden gave to her own branches, Venus helps tend it regularly.
