Traela was a gift from another clan. Despite being born of the Shadow Flight, Trae has come to love and respect the Windsinger the way her adoptive parents do.
When Ellis and Eva's first litter proved too weak to stay in the lair and were sent to serve the Windsinger, Trae picked up the responibilities of the Clan Head's children, despite knowing that she herself would never be able to become Clan Mother.
She has a particularly close relationhip with Ellis, which both amuses and annoys Eva, who wishes Ellis would take more time chosing his actual heir.
