Who Am I?
I am a druid priestess, born in the Shrieking Wilds beneath the shadow of the Behemoth. The ending of the Armistice between the Plague and Nature flights, followed by unsettling rumors about the disappearance of the Plague Ambassador, drove my mate Von and I to reconsider our loyalty to the Gladekeeper. As more and more clans moved to the relative safety of Gladebough Village and out of the shadows of the jungle, we decided it was time to move on as well... back to our ancestral land.
The journey was difficult and treacherous, especially when we were forced to skirt the edges of the Scarred Wasteland, Gaolers being a flightless breed. The Wandering Contagion made every step a gamble, and we were afraid to breathe the very air, but at last we found ourselves safe in Starwood Strand.
The journey had taken its toll, however. We were forced to seek out a friendly clan with which to stay, rest, and heal. It was during this time that Von and I found ourselves the parents of three hatchlings, one female and two males: Beatrice, Stellan, and Orion.
Still weakened by our travels, we chose to stay with the Arcane clan until the hatchlings were old enough to make the difficult journey south. As it was, our youngest, Orion, chose to go his own way. Shayla and Brayden, his eldest, came to live with us in the Southern Icefield after a time.
The last we heard from Orion, he has joined a clan in the Scarred Wasteland, a huge disappointment to Von and I, as you can well imagine. Oh well, he is an adult now and is free to make his own decisions. I just hope...
Anyhow, we made it to the Southern Icefield at last. A terrible blizzard in the Cloudscrape Crags almost took Stellan from us, but we were saved by a friendly Longneck Clan, who took us in until the storm abated somewhat, and loaned us a guide to help us complete the journey to Reclaimer's Glacier.
Once there, we ran into a friendly group of Tundras who offered to take us the rest of the way to the Dripcave Dregs, our final destination, where we met others of our kind. They did not take too kindly to us as outsiders, and Nature dragons at that! They scented the Shade on us, and were about to lock us away, but the Icewarden himself intervened in a most mysterious way, and told them to allow us to remain free, and to grow in number, producing Ice-born offspring. I was angered by this. If my eldest were not acceptable to the Icewarden, then why should I give him any of my hatchlings?
Beatrice and Stellan felt differently, and eventually had hatchlings with their mates, who in turn grew up to produce their own nests. I enjoyed watching my children's grandchildren romp around the lair. I felt I had done my job well enough as clan matriarch, and my anger at the Icewarden and the Glacial Assembly had cooled over time. It seemed silly to continue to hold onto such thoughts, when life continued to march forward regardless.
Little did I know, new life was already growing within me. When the youngest of our descendants were a year old, I laid my second clutch of eggs.
