Leona

Leona was a member of the same clan as Silas, and one of the hatchlings who survived the cave in. While most of the other hatchlings developed an intense fear of the dragon who had inflicted that experience on them, she became fascinated with him. That, coupled with anger at the head of her clan who had declared that she would nest with his son, drove her answer honestly when a stranger inquired about any nearby dragons with strange abilities. Her only condition for revealing Silas' location - that Arizel would take her too. Luckily for her, Arizel already saw her as a potential valuable recruit, and so readily agreed.

Upon arriving at the clan, she soon realized that her new home was not as perfect as she had hoped. She was still under the strict control of Arizel and the other clan leaders, all of whom expected her to have children to further their cause. Almost as bad, the mysterious Silas appeared just as dangerous as everyone had always told her.

Only a month after joining the clan, she began devising her escape.
