bio.
all the divinities that could be offered in the heavenly realm could not make up for the crushing knowledge that despite being a celestial, Zamarca had little divine energy. in trying to escape the hierarchy of the heavens, he took to the mortal realm to distract himself in the company of aurea.

during one particular outing, zamarca is caught by the leaders of the principality -- the capital city of the Light Kingdom. having never met a celestial, the mortal dragons awe and swoon over him. zamarca, easily won over by their starstruck expressions and songs of praise, flaunts what little divine power he has. along the length of his corporeal form runs a vein of liquid gold. from here he plucks a golden scale and drops it into the dirt and within seconds a thin, divine tree with white bark and leaves of real gold sprouts. it is a small feat for any celestial, but the mortal leaders are awestruck.

the leaves pruned from this divine tree are easily malleable and they only need a little refining before they can be officially minted as the Light Kingdom's new elite currency. a highly sought-after item, the principality leaders waste no time in negotiating with zamarca to continue the production of these divine trees. zamarca is titled the patron celestial of the principality, with countless temples erected in his honor as places where mortal dragonfolk can give offerings and pray for wealth.

a century later, zamarca still holds his title and can be found lounging in his personal temple, drunk out of his mind. as a divine being he is impervious to most things, but continuous abuse of his flesh has withered the regrowth of his scales. in some places, they haven't grown back at all. the leaders of the principality gift him fine silks to hide these bald patches, assuring zamarca that they'll eventually grow back, and ply him all the wine he could ask for -- as long as he can keep planting more divine trees, they don't care what state he's in. zamarca mostly spends his days with aurea, who openly supports his overindulgence. pulm, a nymph who manages the Principality's many vineyards, seems to be the only one worrying over his health.
