Biography
Wyrmwound, born and raised. What a perfect place to grow up in, eh? The boiling pus, the mutated carnivorous plants, the toxic sludge that threatens to twist you into a new shape as soon as you dip a claw inside. How delightful. What a great place to live.
Obviously, not. Cassi on the left and Nova on the right would be the first to agree that their upbringing was an environment born out of terrible circumstance, traceable all the way back to the meddling of the gods. Specifically, their patron god, the Plaguebringer, whom Nova holds a deep resentment for. Why should they be confined to such a terrible place? Why were the first aberrations cast off like dead weight? Answers wouldn't be enough to satisfy her, but freedom could be a start. Freedom from being stuck around the Stupid Wyrmwound!
When the aberrations came out of hiding, both sister heads couldn't be more eager to leave the past behind. Cassi especially, the happier and more outgoing of the two, was raring to spread their wings and fly as far as draconically possible to start a new life. She let go of the aggressions her sister kept, simply wanting to forget about the injustices of history and move on with their lives. There was adventure to be had outside of the rotting wastes, a whole continent to explore that they knew nothing about! They were some of the very first aberrations to leave once they could! Cassi didn't have to do any convincing with Nova, who agreed that they needed to get out of their homeland as quickly as they could.
The excitement of fresh air and new sights kept the sisters flying for days, until they were physically unable to keep themselves in the sky. That was a bad judgement on both of their parts, as they crashed into Gale Rain as a last-ditch attempt to not dive bomb themselves into the ocean and drown… the crash left them wounded and unconscious, with a stripe of forest destroyed in their wake. When they next awoke? It was, to their surprise, being tended to by the other inhabitants of the island! The sisters had been worried about how other dragons would receive the newly discovered species, including these terrifying two-headed twins, but Gale Rain as a whole took them in with open arms. They settled down on the island after coming to the conclusion that they were welcome and safe. Cassi appreciates the diverse company the island offers, and Nova appreciates the new concepts this new world has introduced to her; namely, music. It helps her forget the bitterness she still clings to.
Likewise, the dragons around them have found the girls to be a delight! They are always active participants in the events and action around the island, talking to everyone every chance they get and helping the community any way they can. Even when the sisters have their odd disagreements, having so many friends around them means they're never as lonely or isolated as they felt back with their birth flight.
