Horrifyingly enough, HIVE.267-H has managed to create an emperor- or rather, the closest thing it could get. With the consciousness' previous work for hydra models used as a standard, he replicated the build but with an Imperial as a base. This one has five heads, the highest number so far among hydra models. This drone has shown to be stable and receptive, and the consciousness is wasting no time testing its capabilities.
This drone is hidden in the deepest experimental chambers, guarded to ensure that the consciousness' work is not compromised. One head has a large pouch for assimilation fluid while the second utilizes building tar. The other three don't seem to be very unique just yet, but it's likely that with further testing and modifications, they will have breath weapons of their own. This drone is probably going to serve as a multi-purpose; assimilation, building, trapping, and guarding. Perhaps it can be useful as a spy with the extra heads.
For hydra drones in general, the possibilities are endless. The numerous heads can be designed specifically for databank purposes. They could be similar to surveillance cameras with the extra sets of eyes. They could be dangerous combatants and bodyguards, or efficient builders and trappers. When distributed to other hives, they are typically in a metamorphosis state and their appearances are basic. This is to allow the consciousness of the recipient hive to modify the drone to their desires, whether it's a databank, a praetorian, an archer, a builder, a scout, or even multi-purpose.

[font=lucida console]Emperor drones are Imperial hydra drones, but they are not made from the dead like real emperors. They are artificial and modified in the egg, and as of now there is no reliable and stable method to assimilate an Imperial into an Emperor drone. Emperor drones are the largest type of hydra model created by the consciousness of HIVE.267-H, and like all hydra drones, every head is capable of multiple purposes. A hydra drone could be an assimilator, a builder, an archer, or all three. They make good praetorians and databanks with their durability and multiple heads. Given they are typically larger, they can carry more fluid. Some hydra drones can hold and produce both assimilation and building fluid. Their extra heads can be useful for surveillance as well. The possibilities are endless, and they have lots of potential.
Every hydra drone sent out to other hives typically appears very basic and undergoes metamorphosis shortly after arriving. This is to allow the new consciousness to modify the new drone's traits to their preferences. It's similar to a blank slate upon arrival. If a consciousness obtains a hydra and wants it to function as a praetorian, they are free to modify the hydra to develop a tougher carapace and other weapons should they choose. If they want the hydra to be a databank, they can do that as well, and so on. They can mix traits that they think would be beneficial so the drone can serve multiple purposes. It is all up to the consciousness and their wishes.[/font]
