Vampire Queen

History:
It is unknown just how long Morticia has been part of the Lunastorm clan. Few remain who were there before her, and those that were appear to have difficulty speaking of it -- her presence is as natural and constant as the rain that perpetually falls from the sky. The battle-hardened general, now commander and trainer of the ranks of fighters within the clan, does not speak often of her past, herself. She prefers to focus on the present, the future too unpredictable and the past too irrelevant. Many a warrior has grown, encouraged by her capable claws, and gone on perhaps not to greatness, but to a future where they will be able to fight when necessary. None are turned away from her door.

What is known is that Morticia is no stranger to blood drawn, either by her own claws or others. To stare into such bloodshed without flinching, one must have seen a great deal. Death becomes a constant companion, and violence an only friend. When she speaks of her own ambitions, though such a thing does not occur often, she alludes in a clipped, growling tone to a world where the only people that fight are those who wish to, rather than those who have to in order to keep themselves and those they love alive.

Appearance: Large and muscular, Morticia's lithe form is covered in battle scars, not the least of which bisects one of her eyes and cuts across her jaw. Scars blend with the outline of bone, a skeleton visible through living flesh, said to be the mark of one ventured too often and too close to the brink of death. Her claws bear brilliant scarlet tips, perhaps in an attempt to ensure that they are not stained in battle -- or to suggest that they already have been. Her preferred training grounds for new warriors is the mire, from which she has collected an arrangement of thorny brambles which act to shield her body from biting mouths of attackers without wearing her down. Often found climbing on her form is a small Marsh Frog, perhaps Morticia's closest companion and assigned the name Percival.

Personality:
It is attitude, not a mythical nature, that has given Morticia the nickname "Vampire Queen." Bloodthirsty and battle-hardened, she often intimidates pacifists of both the Lunastorm clan and others, and has little patience for sugar-coating. "Tough love" is the philosophy which she lives by, and she is neither kind nor gentle in her training and treatment of those who seek to study battle under her. Her flank is littered with scars, however, more than one of which is the result of a blow taken in defense of one of her charges. Those who know Morticia knows that, despite appearances, her most fatal flaw is not in a lack of care, but far too much.

Legacy:
Though countless students have passed through Morticia's careful and rigorous training, there are those who stand out more than the rest and have found a place of honor within the clan. Morticia is the dragon responsible for training all three Forces of reckoning: Tempest, Berserk, and Cinder. It can be said that she is the dragon behind the curtain for each of their, and her other students', achievements, but never will she brag or attempt to take such an honor for herself.

These are not the only students she has trained, however. Numerous others have gone on to serve as trainers, themselves, within the clan, or venture out to others unknown. Not one for strict definitions of ingroup, she has also trained travelers venturing through her domain in order to ensure their safety on the rest of the journey. Of course, Morticia has also trained several dragons destined to go on to be exalted and serve directly beneath a deity, as per their own wishes and destiny. Morticia's thoughts on the matter are kept suspiciously hidden -- especially as a result of several of the exalted number having been her own children.

Mate:
Is it possible for even a battle-hardened warrior such as Morticia to love? Is there someone out there, long since faded into the night, who took her heart with them? Are they the reason for her fondness of roses? Are they gone forever, or merely lost?

She has not, nor will not, tell.
