Although Oblivion was born in the Scarred Wasteland, she does not identify with the Plague flight, nor does she worship the Plaguebringer. Oblivion's parents were nomadic, moving from territory to territory for reasons she has never known before finally joining another nomadic tribe known as the Wasteland Wanderers living and travelling in the Sandwastes of the Shifting Expanse. Her family dedicated themselves wholly to their new clan, quickly gaining the favour of the leader and rising through the tribe's ranks. After Oblivion's parents perished in an accident at sea, she was taken in by the Wanderers' leader and raised as their own daughter. After the death of that leader, Oblivion was promoted to the rank of Queen of the Wasteland Wanderers. After many years of her fair and just rule in the Sandwastes, Oblivion mysteriously ended up in the Crystalspine Reaches. Suffering from major injuries, she was found by Andromeda and nursed back to health by members of the Clan of the Night Sky. Even after she healed, Oblivion was unable to recall how she travelled to the Starfall Isles or how she had come to be injured. She decided to remain with the clan until she regained her memories, but she never did. All Oblivion can recall is her status as a Queen and the fact that her home lies somewhere in the Shifting Expanse. Meanwhile, the Wasteland Wanderers continue to mourn for their beloved lost leader. Oblivion is a highly valued advisor and friend to Andromeda. But ever since Andromeda and Novi parted ways, some dragons have been saying her and Oblivion have seemed closer than ever... |
