Biography
Out of three dozen children, Sycora was one of only three left of the Imiovish royal line. Their mother and father had given so much to the war and so many were lost, but three lived and were told to mate rather than fight.
Sycora would follow their duty, even if it was not particularly to their taste. They would produce heirs and make sure the bloodline survived, even if Imiovish did not.
They had happened to arrive at this new clan during a celebration of the world, when the Earthshaker released a new dragon to help fight the dangers coming from below. More soldiers. More lives lost.
It had been a coincidence but the Royal family saw it as a boon. An offering. They were to be paired and mated with the child born at the same time as their arrival, an offering to the Earthshaker simply because they happened to be from an Earth Kingdom. It was sooner than they had been prepared to mate, but it was inevitable and the royal family was worthy of their title and bloodline. The queens, Sycora's grandparents, would be pleased.
As they got to know their mate it began to seem less distasteful and more comforting. Stonebinder did not yet live up to his name, but was not displeasing to the eye and enjoyable to speak to. Sycora would be able to use their body to create life as well as end it, and that was a joy. Teaching and training were enjoyable to them as well, and it would be extra rewarding to teach those of their own blood.
They could make a life here. They could add beauty to the world.
