Biography
Starscream, unlike his namesake, is a calm soul who can balance Vision’s intensity. He’s intimidating by Fey standards: blood-red wings, a piercing stare, and an almost unnerving lack of speech. When he does speak he’s monosyllabic and has an unexpectedly raspy voice. He’s not mean or unwelcoming...but he prefers to keep to himself most of the time.
Underneath the intimidating exterior is a cautious and overly analytical interior. When he meets someone new, he’s automatically suspicious. Who are they? Why do they want to get to know him? Can he trust them? It’s a lifelong problem that he’s working on. Then again, a little vigilance isn’t a bad thing to have when you’re running a clan. Once he decides he trusts someone he has no problem showing his softer side. He enjoys flowers, small creatures, and playing silly games with hatchlings. Quite the contrast from first appearances!
Starscream works at the Oculus of the Eleven. He helps process research materials as they arrive from other flights and schedules loans to and from the Tourmaline Archives. The Oculus is part of a robust interlibrary loan system and his job is to make sure the proper materials go in and out on time. If someone in the area keeps an item past its due date, the Oculus sends Starscream. He’s extremely good at recovering overdue items and proudly holds the staff record for the most successful retrievals. None of his patrons make that mistake again. Never underestimate Starscream!

Chef’s Notes: Make sure to put a lid or a skewer on your hardshells before cooking, otherwise they might float away.
