  • Ever since she was hatched, there's always been something strange about Lilith, something that kept her from being able to play with the other hatchlings
  • For many years Lilith wasn't sure why the adults spoke in whispers when she was near, why the other hatchlings gave her a wide birth. It wasn't until the bullying started that the problem became apparent
  • Their favorite insults were to call her a monster, unstable, dangerous, anything to alienate her from the rest of them
  • Her brother was the only one that ever tried to stand up for her, the only one who did not try and pretend she was lesser than them for a reason Lilith never truly understood for she was too young to know anything more than that she was different
  • Once Lucius was old enough to look for work they left the hatchery they had grown up in, the hatchery where they had never belonged.
  • Since that day the siblings have always traveled together, moving from one location to the next, always trying to stay one step ahead of the baseless accusations that always followed Lilith
