"Life and death... two sides of the same coin."
Strychnine is too curious for his own good and is always sticking his nose into things he shouldn't. This is an excellent trait for when he's managing the Clan's magic users, but much more concerning when he actually learns magic himself. The Plague Prince has been studying the dark art of necromancy, and he's taken to it like a... well, like a fae to magic. He was hatched from a Plague egg found in the swamp of the old territory of Clan Napellus, when they still resided in the Viridian Labyrinth. He was hatched and raised by Contagion, the revenant Mirror who led the devastating infighting between Nature and Plague that resulted in the abandoning of the old territory and the move to Ice. She raised him to be a terror, the Plagueling Heir that would kill the Matriarch and bring the Clan to the Scarred Wasteland. Fortunately, he wasn't too keen on that, and fought against her on the side of the Nature dragons. Once the Clan had relocated to the Southern Icefield, he and Aconite became mates to unite the two factions and ensure peace in their new home. Since his daughter has become the new leader and his mate has essentially confined herself to the greenhouses, he's begun to think about setting off on his own. "Aconite's faithful companion, Strychnine has served as the unofficial leader of the clan's magic users ever since our move to Ice. Originally a rival of the original clan's Nature faction, Strychnine found common ground with Aconite, who was Matriarch at the time, and helped to broker peace between the warring Plague and Nature dragons. Now, Strychnine mostly spends his time with the other mages, preferring to work on his spells and potions in the company of his fellows. He has little interest in ruling, and only gave Khione a basic magical education instead of leadership advice."
