Boisterous and curious to a fault, Ephemeris can still boast about being one of the best aerial fighter of the Clan. Her powerful physique isn't hindered at all by the plate armour she wears and she can easily twist and spin to move out of both ranged and close-ranged attacks directed towards her. It becomes even more difficult by the fact that she can create some sort of Arcane-made mist that can disorient her enemies should they come close enough to breath it in. She's not the fastest flyer of the Clan but she doesn't need to be. On the ground she's not as good of a fighter but she can still deal deadly damage with powerful kicks, lashes with the spiked tail or simply using her claws or fangs. She can also breath out a large cloud of this strange mist to surround her enemy should she need to escape. Sadly, her incredible prowess in battle is sometime forgotten by others due to her youthful curiosity and habit of getting into trouble. Her best friend, Cahira, usually tries to keep her occupied when there's no need to fight or no one is available to spar. It's not until Ephemeris is combat that other dragons remember what a powerhouse she is. But despite her curious and mischievous nature, she brings a lot of positive energy with her that many can appreciate.

Born at the Observatory at the Starfall Isle, Ephemeris inherited the curious nature of the Arcane Flight. She was also born without the burden of the past and could look at the world with unbiased and curious eyes in comparison to earlier generations of her kin. As a young hatchling, and to the surprise of many, she found herself a best friend in the much more quiet and withdrawn Cahira. Her curious nature and hyperactivity often led her to get into mischief and pulling the young Pearlcatcher with her. Despite this, she was loved and cared for by her Clan. As she grew older, she also grew restless of remaining at the Observatory. There was nothing exciting about old dusty scrolls or looking at the stars through the lense of a telescope! She wanted to see more of the world! She wanted to find a new home where she could use her abilities to protect it and keep people safe. Perhaps she could even learn how to be a better fighter!

Thus she set out into the world, followed by Cahira who claimed that 'someone needs to keep an eye on Ephemeris'. The Banescale held no ill-will towards any of the other breeds who had wronged her kin in the past and thus had no issue traveling around to the different areas of the world. But one day she learned that the "enemies of her kind", the Galore, originated from the frozen landscape of the Southern Icefields. She just had to explore this area.

The two of them traveled through the area, staying now and then at hospitable Clans. One of the most hospitable ones was the Southwind Clan at the Cloudscrape Crags. Ephemeris found herself liking the lair and the dragons within. She especially took a liking to the Captain of the Guard, Felicity, who'd gladly spar with her and more often than not won over the Banescale. Asa a result, Ephemeris became determined to become just as good as a fighter as the Mirror. Thus both she and Cahira decided to stay with the Southwind Clan.

They quickly became a part of the Guard, proving themselves to be powerful fighters and willing to risk their lives to protect the Clan. Ephemeris found herself just the new home she had searched for.

Noticeable relationships:

Cahira is her best friend, who she has known since she was just a hatchling. They are very different from each other but Ephemeris sees Cahira as her older sister. Even if Cahira has always been the one to follow Ephemeris around, should she lose the Pearlcatcher.. she'd be completely lost in the world.

Felicity is one of the few dragons who more often than not can keep up with the high level of energy that Ephemeris has. They often spar or compete against each other about who's the strongest or fastest. She holds the Mirror in high regard and respect.

She often finds Donovan to be a little 'boring', even if her best friend Cahira is much calmer and quieter than him. But she knows that Cahira likes to talk with him and thus she thinks that the Tundra can't be that bad.

Poor Silver seems scared of her, but she doesn't mind him or anything. Quite the opposite, she's very curious about him and would love to be able to spar with him. For now she will just keep an eye on the Coatl until he's ready to join the Guard.

Her relationship with Diantha is.. interesting. The Skydancer loathes her for being so loud and obnoxious, while Ephemeris sees her as a friend. A friend of Cahira is a friend of hers! Even if that friend always scowls when she sees the Banescale.

Trivia:

• Ephemeris is capable of creating a sort of mist thanks to her Arcane heritage. This mist can disorient those who breaths it in, although it seems less effective on other Arcane dragons. She emits small amounts of this mist by default but it's less potent compared to when she actually wants to emit it. Should she need to, she can also breath out a large cloud of it if she wants it to stay in one place for a short time. But it doesn't remain for long before it dissipates.
• The golden armour she wears is a copy of her mother's. While Ephemeris' thick scales don't really need much protection, she wears her armour with pride. Though she does need Cahira's help with removing it and putting it back on.
• She absolutely loves seafood. Ironically, she can't swim.
