Among the other buildings of the clan, there is a small bricked house hidden among the towering buildings above. The door is light and creaks in the wind, revealing a small workspace within, stuffed full with various colors of wrapping papers and delicately laced ribbons. Gifts line the walls, and small familiars sleep quietly in sunbeams, waiting to be delivered to their loving future owners. A young snapper sits atop her stool, humming softly as she writes another document pertaining to the wishes of her peers.
"What would you like for your birthday?" She smiled at Amaryllis, pen and paper subtly tucked under her shawl.
"It's not for a few months," the gaoler replied sheepishly. "I don't know, maybe a jacket that fits me?" A flitter of light casts down from the window near Ellie's desk, illuminating a piece of script from one of her newest documents: find tailor, pay well, Ammy needs a new coat for the winter, pink? maybe a nice mint color, ask for favorite color later... |
