Crabclaw

Crabclaw is a calm and unobtrusive presence in the clan. He doesn't say much, and seems perfectly content with very little- mostly some nice fish to eat and a quiet place to sleep, and not much else. Unlike most Snappers, he moves very little, so little that small birds are often found perching on his back (he eats only some of them). He is always smiling and feels very at home in the clan.

His best friends are Tiyaris and Colu, with whom he grew up with when they were all hatchlings. He used to ride on Grasshopper's back, but to Grasshopper's relief Crabclaw is a little too big for that now- still, Grasshopper and Crabclaw retain a brotherly relationship. Most of all, though, he loves Lemongrass, a spirited young Wildclaw who spends her time almost exclusively with him. Although she is much lighter and delicate of body than him, he is always very gentle when they are together and never hurts her.

The older dragons in the clan don't know where Crabclaw came from, or why he settled with this clan, but at this point he's been there long enough to call it his true home. He and Lemongrass have raised many clutches of eggs together, and are on good terms with nearly all the other dragons, so their family has become an important cornerstone of the clan, second only to Pineseed's family.

Crabclaw wears a yellow flower, to match Lemongrass's yellow color, on his claw, to represent the deep love he has for his lifelong mate.
