Teyas is the second son of Crabclaw and Lemongrass, and has always felt he was in the shadow of his big sister, Craya. Where she is smart, strong and well-liked, he has always been a bit slow, a bit on the weaker side, and very shy. He adores and idolizes his sister, but some part of him always wished he could be as special as her.

For a long time, sweet-natured Teyas tried to fake being tough and strong, and took to wearing a white wolf skin to make himself look scarier. But no matter how he dressed up, it didn't change the fact that Teyas was not well-suited for battle, and was even a bit of a coward.




One day, however, it was discovered that Teyas was very talented at healing magic. He could channel the spirits of the earth to make wounds knit back together and become as strong as stone. Though he wasn't much of a fighter, his skill in healing was the best in the whole clan. As such, he was made royal retainer to Dust, the fragile young grandson of the royal family. The task of protecting and assisting Dust made Teyas feel needed and useful for the first time in his life. He would do anything to keep him safe, and even his big sister Craya is proud of him.
