Biography
Galeblast is a governmental advisor on agriculture at court.
Galeblast was born in the capital city, and travelled to the palace to take the diplomatic exam that qualified you as an ambassador in foreign relations; he has a particular fixation on the eastern windshores, which he represented in a highly cultivated aesthetic in all parts of his life (Still does). However, becoming ambassador to the eastern windshores was not to be, as he failed the exam. He refused to return home, having already taken the required collegiate courses to prepare for the exam, and instead remained at the palace to take the exam next year; and for the next three subsequent years, unsuccessful each time.
Being for a diplomatic position, all parts of the exam are equally important, and it is believed that he repeatedly failed at the final stage, which is a run-through or roleplay of negotiating a sensitive diplomatic issue, in a foreign language. Although word-perfect in the language of the eastern windshores, he is less than perfect in others, and more damningly, impulsive and somewhat short-tempered when he doesn't get his own way. The first year he applied he was roommates with Auberon, who applied generally for any diplomatic role, and went on to be very successful: Galeblast is deeply irritated by this, and him, still.
Due to his continued presence in the visitor quarters of the palace, and a personal passion for cultivating bonsai, he eventually developed enough personal connections to find a position as a governmental advisor on agriculture, which he performs adequately.
A gregarious presence at most parties, he has spawned something of a cult following in inspiring eastern windshore-inspired fashion trends; and although these don't tend to grow beyond his coterie, he is gratified by the attention and recognition. His parents are still not quite clear what it is he does, even though he writes to them often, but they are happy, because whatever it is, it is a position at the palace, carrying with it prestige.
His chief passion in life is his bamboo bonsai, and has become somewhat more self-aware regarding his impulsiveness and temper in his adulthood, leading him to become a teetotaller.
