Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this seeker wandered a little too far from her home lair (Korvus, 3522), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

It should have been obvious Ela was going to be trouble from the moment her egg rolled away from the nest. As soon as she hatched, she was on the move, always wanting to explore further than her parents would allow. She was determined to explore every corner of the world, and knowing there would be no peace until she had her fun, Ela was allowed to go off on her own.

The sounds of corgis barking and foxes yipping filled the air as the animals played. Their caretaker, Petrichor, sat nearby keeping watch. The sandbank was the only flat spot that offered enough room to run around. The rest of the clan's lagoon territory was surrounded by forest covered cliffs.

The sight of three corgis pulling something closer to her caught her attention. She stood up and walked over to see what they had. She was surprised to see that they were pulling on the tail of a purplish blue imperial hatchling.

“How odd,” she thought.

She was pulled out of her thoughts when a loud yawn escapes from the hatchling. Small eyes crack open to reveal that this young one hails from the Stormcatcher's realm - which is quite the long trip, since the lagoon is located near the border of the Sea of a Thousand Currents and the Tangled Wood.

Still a bit drowsy, the hatchling asks, “Where am I?”

Petrichor answers back, “You have traveled quite far and tired yourself out. Let me take you back to my clan so you can rest up.”

Ela spent the day resting. The next day, before she set out to leave, Petrichor gave her an ash lace headpiece as a souvenir. Putting it on, Ela considered herself ready to get back into world and explore.

As it turns out, exploring without a clear goal in mind makes it easy to get lost. Especially in a place as dark and disorienting as the Tangled Wood, glowing mushrooms dancing around her and lighting up the area just enough to see.

Stumbling through the woods finally lead to a clearing, with a cottage at the edge of it, and some clearer, better lit paths leading through the forest. And just outside the cottage was a Coatl, watering her plants. Without even looking up she seemed to notice the young Imperial there.

"Are you lost, dear? Don't worry, all who pass through here are. Please, come, rest a while. I've got tea."

Cautiously, but curiously, Eladrin wandered closer. "Is that really alright?"

"Of course it is, why wouldn't it be? We get many dragons passing through here, you certainly won't be the last. What good does shooing everyone off do me?" The smile on the Coatl's face is kind, and so she decides this will be her next place to rest. Just for a while.

Now that Eladrin was getting older, she thought about what she wanted to do with herself. Just exploring didn't seem like that's all she wanted to do. So when she got to Crow Callers, she decided to figure that out for herself.

She talked to the other travelling dragons about what they wanted to do when they were seeing Sornieth. There were many interesting goals they had - performing, finding family members, some were just okay with seeing the world. Eladrin decided she'd call herself a "seeker" for now.

She befriended a dragon named Lithium on her way out, and the two decided to go to their next stop together.

When Eladrin and Lithium came to stop at the Shifting Expanse they met up with a few travellers! First was Temo with her familiar, and Banshee a treasure hunter! After staying in the Shifting Expanse for a bit Eladrin wished to travel some more, she bid Lithium goodbye and off she went.

As Ela stopped in the Millmeadows, she hoped for a relaxing visit. Although the dragons she met were friendly and caring, as she left she couldn't help but feel as though there were eyes on her following her every move...

Flying away from the Millmeadows, Eladrin was able to take a deep breath for what felt like the first time in a while. She let her cares blow away in the wind as she flew over the Zephyr Steppes, her eyes wandering over the lush scenery below. The beauty of the natural landscape calmed her, and Ela felt herself yawn. Her eyes slipped shut, and she plummeted toward the earth...

Eladrin jumped in shock, coming to consciousness a split second after she'd fallen out of it. Her quick nap didn't explain the change of scenery, though...it seemed she was surrounded by mist from all sides, and water was so close below her she could touch the surface with her foot. Was she already over the Sea of a Thousand Currents, she wondered? And how did she travel such a distance in just a few seconds?

There was nothing to do but keep flying. With a feeling of dread, and no sense of direction, Ela flew straight ahead. Minutes passed, and she began to worry, but all at once the mist seemed to clear. She emerged onto a stretch of beach that was populated by colorful dragons busy caring for hatchlings or hauling baskets of fish and forage, with one particular Tundra bouncing on the tips of her toes, seemingly waiting for someone.

The Tundra bounded forward and enthusiastically introduced herself as Zenith, claiming she'd foreseen Eladrin's arrival. Though taken aback, Ela accepted Zenith's invitation for an energetic tour around the clan. The third time the two circled past the nesting grounds, though, Eladrin couldn't help but yawn...fortunately, Zenith steered her right toward the clan's travelers' den, which Ela was immensely pleased to see. Inside she found a bed already prepared to her liking, and for the first time in quite a while, Eladrin fell into an undisturbed, peaceful sleep that lasted well into the next day.

After spending another sunny day relaxing and swapping tales with the other young dragons of the clan - who seemed to have origins from all over Sornieth, Ela observed - it was high time Eladrin moved on. She bid an especially grateful farewell to Zenith and Blight, the keeper of the travelers' dens. As she breezed by, Ela noticed he was writing something in a journal, but dismissed it. After all, she was itching to fly somewhere new!
Ela somehow managed to find her way back to her home clan. She hadn't been planning on it, but when she realized everything around her looked familiar, she decided she might as well stop for a bit and see some old friends. They almost didn't recognize her. Ela didn't realize how much she had changed in her time traveling.

It was nice seeing old friends and making some new ones, but after a while, Ela started to get restless. She liked traveling and there were still more places for her to visit and new friends to make. Maybe someday she'll settle down somewhere, but she's not ready for that yet.

Ela found her way to the Sunbeam Ruins, and passed several peaceful seasons in a small inn near Lanternlea Port. She assisted in their library and provided a helping pair of claws on other projects where needed; the clan's engineers were especially happy to have another Lightning dragon around, although Ela had no special training and didn't think she had any real affinity for electricity and engineering. It was a comfortable place to treat as a home for a time, but a seeker always has more to seek, and Ela eventually said goodbye to the friends she'd made and moved on.

Eladrin found herself in this forest and came across a kingdom. It was interesting to see this kingdom. But, she went to this small town. She enjoy her time there and she became friends with the town folks there. She even helps them out too. As few days pass, she decided it was time for her to leave and she say her farewells to her new friends.
