Malachite

Malachite’s story, unlike most well-known Plague dwellers, does not actually begin within the Scarred Wasteland. Years ago, Malachite was hatched in the Viridian Labyrinth’s swampy wetlands, and he hatched alone.
A young Nocturne having to fend for himself, Malachite quickly learned that the world holds many dangers, and it is best to err on the side of caution if one wishes to survive. In search of a more sustainable environment for a lone youngling, Malachite travelled South through dense swampland and forest. Though he did encounter some friendly dragons willing to take him in, he never felt quite at home in any of the cheerful, leafy nests offered to him. He felt deep in his bones that though he was born here, it was not where he belonged.
For years he wandered: across the golden plains of Sunbeam Ruins, through the murky Tangled Wood, and back up North to Dragonhome, but he never stayed in one place for long. Nowhere felt quite right, and no dragon he met quite understood. He began to get accustomed to loneliness.
Then he discovered the Scarred Wasteland.
Something about the unforgiving terrain called to him, and soon enough Malachite had decided this would be his realm to call home. Along his path exploring the Wandering Contagion, Malachite befriended a Hazebeacon Vulture, and the two became inseparable companions. Now, Malachite and his familiar can be seen flying across the murky, yellowed skies, exploring the Plaguelands and enjoying one another’s company..
