A delicate musical chime announces the arrival of a lovely pair of new customers, they enter the shop along with a whoosh of cool air. Popular all season long, most visit Sornieth Shave Ice in their off season for their Spiced Indulgences; piping hot beverages to warm your spirit and your claws. In the cooler seasons most are huddled close, enjoying their treats and toddies, while the fireplace crackles and keeps them cozy. The atmosphere is busy, and the shop owner, with her happy smile, mixes her creations with flavorful colored syrups and sometimes a dollop of freshly whipped cream (sometimes two dollops). It is the most popular venue in the lair, and it is frequented by many denizens of the Fortress of Ends. Tonight a couple of dragons, Jarplitfara and Randvur, are peering into the counter area, requesting a special treat; Strawberries & Cream White Hot Chocolate, a nice and hot beverage with flavors of Sweet Strawberries and Cream, with hints of Vanilla Whip. They watch the spectacle of its production with eager anticipation, and wait patiently for the call, “Orders Up!”.  more infoThis pair of bogsneaks can be found near their work shed, surrounded by a steady fence, which keeps their small flock of Goats and Sheep tended; Jarplitfara helps sheer and prepares the wool for cleaning, skirting and carding, before she moves to her combs or steady spinning wheel. Randvur cares for the animals and is very knowledgeable about herd maintenance and health. They welcome anyone who visits the clan to see their lovely flock and are well known at the marketplace for selling their wares. Their relationship is built on hard work and craftsmanship, and love the trade binds them. The offspring of this pair may have a few loose staples of wool hidden between their wings, and enjoy knitting and crocheting. They do sometimes get their skeins into a knot! |
