when the tears of the gods fall from celestial heights
they sprout from the ground great orchards of life
whose boughs weigh heavy with earthly delights
and are kept hidden by the guardian from most mortal's sights
proud as a stag, she stalks between
those sweetened groves of evergreen
the ancient goddess of this veridian domain
breaking the hearts of those who'd lay claim
the roots of the forest connect to their heir
her mane entertwined with the blossoms of pears
if anyone were to act on a hungering stare
their eyes would meet not just fruit, but their fate flayed out bare
proud as a stag, she stalks between
those sweetened groves of evergreen
eternal life can be devoured if you dare
but watch for the gaze of the goddess of pears
deep in the ground she lays the wicked to rest
amongst the soil and bones with the deepest respect
