About
Despite his diminutive size, Gale fights with the force of a category four hurricane—as expected of one of the Frigid Recesses' infamous guards! Few can match his martial skill, and his fierce reputation keeps potential threats far, far away from his home. Although he is a Fae who hatched bearing the blessing of the Icewarden to boot, he is terrible at magic, and instead he relies on his trusty armor and axes to get the job done. As a result, it's generally agreed upon that his elemental gift expresses itself through his strong protective instincts and affinity for the punishingly cold winds that blow through the area. Like many in the Frigid Recesses, Gale didn't start out living there. He left the warm embrace of his large family to seek a home somewhere else; not for lack of love, but rather because he felt a bit smothered. Thanks to his magical inability, his parents and sisters sheltered him from every little thing and doted on him almost constantly. It wasn't soon before Gale developed the urge to build a life of his own. The Frigid Recesses welcomed him into its weird arms when he arrived after a long and perilous journey across the mountains. Said journey took a lot out of tiny Gale, and he was forced to learn how to fight dirty with weapons he crafted himself in order to survive. As a result, he quickly took to protecting his new home from the monsters and crooks who like to show up and cause trouble. Personality Gale is a fussy, uptight dragon who has the unfortunate tendency of being easy to fluster. He has no tolerance for nonsense... from his enemies. However, he swore an oath to never harm the residents of the Frigid Recesses, who all happen to be quite fond of nonsense. As a result, he has no way to protect himself from their wily ways, and he's often on the receiving end of tricks and pranks galore. His coworker Galactica is one of his most dedicated tormentors. In his downtime, Gale likes to carve things like ice, rock, and wood into interesting figures. His nest is a mess, contrary to how clean and tidy he keeps everything else, and it's constantly strewn with half-finished projects that he claims to be too busy to clean up. He's on good terms with all his sisters, but he's especially close with Winterwind, who makes frequent trips to the Frigid Recesses to visit with him. |
