______ Outward appearances would suggest nothing but contempt between Acrid and the majority of the clan, especially the elders that started the clan.
But looks can be deceiving. Acrid is one of the closest and most trusted members of the clan, and is one of Erothene’s most important connections. In private Erothene discusses the most important plans and secrets with him, and confides in him any worries or concerns. Novalune as well confides in him, issues that the rest of the clan need not know about.

As far as outsiders are concerned though, Acridox is the last person they would investigate or interrogate. The seemingly unforgiving aggression between him and the rest of the clan makes him the perfect spy, the perfect keeper of secrets, the perfect fly on the wall. And Acridox adores his role. He loves the power he holds over so many; the thrill of watching the gears twist and turn behind the scenes.

On a more personal note, Acrid is a sort of a councilor to the higher ups. He’s an open ear for the troubles and worries of the dragons who bear the fate of the clan. He’s one of the few privy to the relationship between Decivious and Novalune, and one of the only dragons who is aware of Decivious’s plan to become a full member of the clan, and moreso he is of the very limited few who who is aware of the fungi that is tended to in the depths of the clan.

A few of the other dragons in the clan have taken to talking with him as well, since he is such a good listener with frequently sound advice. A few he has become close with are Cenotaph; a soft soul who few feel was not meant to be a part of the Plague clan’s design, Shattered; a cold and distand dragon who fears his own disconnection, and Hesparia; A bright young thing with an insatiable wanderlust. Acrid collects their stories and secrets and holds them close, keeps them safe..
