Lymond may look fancy (and he is not vain - rather he understands himself, his gifts and his limitations) but he is a true dragon and a fighter. He believes in honor and will never fail a friend, a mate, a fellow lair dragon or even a foe to whom he has pledged himself. He and his sister familiar, Crawford, often spar to better their skills but both of them are natural athletes. Lymond can also recite poetry, play several musical instruments including harpsichord and lutes or guitars and fly better than almost anyone.

The feather in his hat is from one of Crawford's friends. He collects swords and daggers and has his own herd of Arabian horses. He prefers to be outdoors riding or practicing swordsmanship. He dresses the way he does to hide his ferocity and to allow rags to be a serious disguise. He is an amazing athlete when he needs to be.
