Personality
Mawce is naturally standoffish and soft spoken. He enjoys spending time with his cabin-mate, Clodia, and his wood carving. If he didn't have anyone else to get him to go out of his cabin and woods, he'd happily stay there alone, caring for his small patch of land. He enjoys studying the native flora, especially the trees. He keeps a journal of all the varieties he finds, with Clodia's help writing it.
Before the Clutch
He grew up in a rogue group of young dragons. There wasn't exactly a leader, but the eldest, strongest dragons directed the rest, having earned the younger dragon's respect and awe. Mawce climbed through their ranks, until he became one of those head dragons. Everything was as he thought it should be, until they captured a strange young dragon. He was intrigued by this intruder, and ordered for him to be brought to him. They quickly got to know each other, and he taught Mawce things that were looked down upon in his group, like singing, art, and even the basics of writing. Mawce quickly started to question everything he'd been taught, everything he'd learned. It was all lies and hurtful ideology. One night, they attempted to escape, but the other dragon was caught. He yelled to Mawce not to look back, to keep going, and he did, leaving that life behind, as well as his old self. Now, Mawce has to find who he really is, as he relearns his entire morality, and heals from the trauma his situation caused him.
Life as a Scout
When he joined the Clutch, Mawce asked for a job to do, something to earn his keep. Even though Harley explained that nothing was required of him to stay here, he gave him something he could do while he found his footing. So Mawce became the clan scout, living on the edge of their main village, keeping watch for any dangers that might come on this new island. This quite suited Mawce, as it gave him a quiet place to become his own dragon. He built a cottage to stay in, and soon after, Clodia moved in with him. During the evening, she would teach him to read, and they tended their garden to study the plants that she taught him about. Although his role tends to be fairly uneventful, he's content to stay at his post, and sometimes he'll be asked to accompany Mug on xeir scavenging trips.
Social Life
────────────────────────✗────────────────────────Due to his hermit-like lifestyle, he has a very small social group. He spends every evening with Clodia, while Mug visits between scavenging trips to drop off any supplies and plant samples xey find. He occasionally goes out on scavenging trips with Mug, acting as a lookout and supply carrier, but otherwise he prefers to stay at his post. Although Mawce has had the opportunity to talk to more people, he's comfortable with the quiet life he leads.
