Like any leader of Akahraveihl Vhen is highly trained in martial arts, sword fighting, and magic. While any one of those can also be taught to lower ranking citizens of Akahraveihl, the leaders are given another gift. This gift is the awakening of their Kahri form. With this they are able to turn into a large, magic, wolf-like creature. These creatures excel in magic as well as can run through air as if there were solid steps under their feet. The only downside with this form is that it uses a lot of energy. After using their Kahri form for extended periods of time the Akahri will need to sleep. Depending on the length of time they used this form their sleep will be longer or shorter, and can last up to a week. In this state they fall into a very deep sleep that is extremely difficult to wake them from. The role of the leaders is to guide their people and to guard them. They become a leader after demonstrating in some way their loyalty to the people. This often includes accomplishing a major achievement in protecting, or guiding, the people somehow during a desperate time. These opportunities are extremely rare as the kingdom is thousands of years old, yet there are only 5 leaders.

H I S T O R Y

The reason that the Akahri people are spoken of in the past tense is because 1200 years ago an enemy kingdom, called Rhuinad, sent some of their most powerful men to wipe out the people of Akahraveihl. They had wanted to do this for many years but had finally came across some magical stones. These stones literally vaporize anybody within their alignment, aside from whoever is touching the Cuhl stone. One evening this small group of powerful Rhuins came to Akahraveihl bringing peace. When they had lured all but one of the five leaders to their vicinity they used a paralyzing spell to hold them in place. They then proceeded to take their positions to activate the stones. The fifth leader, Koaku, stayed behind to fulfill another duty when he saw that something was wrong. He chased down one of the Rhuins to the edge of the kingdom where they intended to use the stone. After a tedious fight with the stone carrier's guard, Koaku was knocked outside of the stones alignment when he took one final lunge towards the stone carrier. Immediately after, the stones were activated, and the entire inhabitance of Akahraveihl was vaporized. The Rhuins that came took this opportunity to go back to their kingdom to alert the awaiting assembly to go plunder the land. They figured they were safe to take their time as all of the Akahri people had been vaporized... or so they thought. The stone carrier that Koaku went after agreed with their guard to not speak of this or their lives could be at risk, so they went back in silence on the matter. While they headed back Koaku took this time to gather, and hide, the most valuable relics as well as a large quantity of their daily items using his Kahri form.

Over those next 1200 years Koaku spent his days traveling different lands, learning new languages, and most of all studying magic. By the end of these 1200 years Koaku came across an archeologist who helped bring together Akahri that had left Akahraveihl long ago and dwelt in other countries. Long story short, after doing so they banded together and attempted to rebuild the kingdom of Akahraveihl by themselves. Shortly after Koaku discovered a spell that could bring back the bodies of those who were vaporized as long as their correct name was used, and their soul had been preserved from corruption. So after attaining the spell Koaku brought them all back who were able to be. Two of the 4 leaders who were vaporized remained uncorrupted and were re-established in the kingdom. Koaku was crowned head leader for bringing them back, and Vhen is the 3rd leader "in rank" being that the other was previously the head leader.
