Curius

"We are to skirmish the outskirts and eliminate any stragglers." Curius' deep, rich voice rang out into the dark shadows of the cave. His gait was even and his expression unwavering."As per the words of Lady Shiso, we are to complete our task by nightfall. Is that clear?" He swept his hard gaze across every warrior standing before him daring them to speak out. Curius watched them all closely, flicking his tail back and forth in a threatening manner.

The sound of scratching talons against stone met his ears. Good, he thought to himself. He had his warriors trained well.

However, he caught something downcast in his periphery; a fair-sized mirror with a slender build and slick, blood-colored scales. His head was down, and his tail swished from side to side.
Curius approached him with slow, heavy, lumbering steps. He took care to make his last step the heaviest, slamming his talons hard against the stone. The mirror jumped.

"What is your name, boy?" Curius demanded loudly. The mirror's head snapped up, and Curius was afflicted by a face with bright, shining eyes. A twinge of shock crept up Curius' neck, onto his face, and finally forced his mouth into a grin; he wasn't used to seeing light dragons like himself carrying out dirty work.

"Tamaranth..." The mirror answered in an almost mute tone. His voice certainly didn't match his bold stance.
"Do you understand the orders you've been given? I have no time to waste on the weak-willed."

The mirror was quiet. He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but he faltered. "I... I... I-I can't..." As he stuttered, Curius heard a familiar lilting accent flowing over his words. "A fellow light Disease Bane, eh? It's alright boy." Curius turned to leave and said, "Abbiamo un lavaro da fare. Let's get to it."
