When the Dustcarve Dig started, I posted The Buried with this:
As the excavation begins, the blind snapper stirs from her bed of earth. She raises her head, tilted towards the distant sounds of the explosions, and a craggy smile breaks across her face. She can sense the frenzy of the dragons digging, digging, digging, and it fills her with glee.
With power.
Ponderously, she rises to her feet, and begins to walk. There are new disciples to greet, and victims to be had. She will feast well.
