" Uhh...do you need something? "
About Quiet, antisocial, and seemingly averse to sunlight, Sebastian is the last dragon one would expect to find on a farm. Some days, it almost seems as though Sebastian doesn't expect to find himself on a farm, either, but that doesn't change the fact that he's been at the work for several years—and shows no sign of stopping. A hood does a good job of keeping the sun out of one's eyes in the field, anyhow, and as the only worker on Cadmis Farms' cozy acres he has no-one to deal with but the owner herself. . Still, farming was never quite Sebastian's dream. In fact, the only thing he ever wanted from life was to get away from the small, stifling swarm where he spent his hatchlinghood days. When he finally dredged up the courage to flee, he quickly became lost in an unfamiliar world. He was eventually stranded somewhere near the Gladeveins, and where phantom lights in the miry wetland eventually led him astray. What followed that one poor choice has changed Sebastian's life irreparably; the dragons who cunningly led him into their cursed swamp erased everything he considered his. . Enchanted to be their mirror image and fit, with even stranger magic, into an obedient and cheery persona, Sebastian's entire sense of self faded in an instant. He was one of them in mind and body, unable to remember the slightest thing about his past. Where was he? Home. Who was he? It didn't matter. Only when he chanced upon the border of their swamp and stepped accidentally beyond it did a sense of unease begin to nag at him. After that, whenever his patrons sent him out to fetch supplies, he would sit at the swamp's edge and think, letting old, forgotten memories wash over him. One day, he was able to choose not to come back. . The time he spent fleeing that second stifling existence was largely lost in a sort of haze. Only when he was blown astray by a storm did he snap back to some semblance of awareness. Exhausted and confused, he crashed into the field of a very surprised farmer in the Windswept Plateau. Too bedraggled to protest or snap back out of fear, he allowed himself to be lead inside and nursed back to health. Under her care, he recovered physically, but even she could do nothing to heal the turmoil within his mind. The best salve she could offer was keep him in sight, allowing him to work on her small plot of land. Though he still has his reservations about the whole idea of farming, he hasn't yet felt the need to run from this life as he has the others. Gifts LIKES " Hey, I like this! Thanks. " . HATES " Why?! I don't want this. " Events Lore title [link]; Lore description Notes - Sebastian has since recovered a good deal of his original self, but flashes of - the artificial personality he was given frequently bubble up. He still isn't sure - how to be himself. - He was initially very hostile towards Moro, fearing that she would attempt to - keep him trapped. The two have since come to a better understanding, and - have become incredibly close friends. - To this day, he detests anything that reminds him of swamps—except frogs. - He retains a certain fondness for frogs as he remembers watching them - peacefully while he began to remember what he had forgotten. |

It's an old tale passed in Klatschmon to never travel the gladeveins at night, for fear you'll be lost to the swamps. Rumors of swamp lights leading travels astray are abundant and taken rather seriously. If, though, you find yourself ignoring the warnings and traveling the murky veins in the dark, keep one warning to heart: do not talk to the veilspun that rise from the waters. Do not follow them to their home, do not take of their food and kindness, for if you do then, truly then, you'll never leave the gladeveins again. At least, not in a way that's recognizable because they will change your body and alter your mind to match their image.
