VESPERS

  • A Gaoler of the Sentry Order. Very rarely will visit the territories beyond Fortress Ground to check in with Seekers.
  • Was born to an Overseer mother and a Sentinel father. Exposure to an especially malicious Horrorbeast-- in spite of its frozen state-- afflicted her mother's unlaid egg with chaotic plague magic.
  • As soon as she hatched, her father brought her to the Icewarden, begging him for some way to undo his child's blight. Taking pity on them, the deity stabilized her magic with the steadfast silence of Ice-- anchoring it with a transformative spell.
  • Since then Vespers has had the ability to change form. While her eyes remain bright red as a gaoler, she can transform into a wintry unicorn at will-- at which point her eyes reflect her true element.
  • ... I got her specifically to wear the unicorn skin. No regrets.
