The Perennial Land was a humble kingdom that most paid little mind too. The dragon clans of the land live happily amongst the flower fields and rivers that reflected the dazzling sky so well that you’d think you were flying in the water. Everyone was content, and Lorimer watched over this land with a pleasant smile for Lightweaver shone brightly upon them.
Even when passerbys would smirk and giggle at his rosy wings, he would gently smile in their direction, “For they reflect the fields that make this land so beautiful and are the pride of the people.”

One far off clan in particular was very jealous though. Their land was dry and barren and while they had become accustomed to such a life, their insides still twisted at the thought of such a beautiful and colorful land that was not their own. As such, they deceived and convinced neighboring beastclans that Lorimer and his kingdom had stolen from their herds and packs to support his kingdom in the shadows. They created fake evidence and secretly stole goods themselves. The bitter dragon clan joined forces with the newly enraged beastclans to assault Lorimer’s kingdom.

With no warning and no preparation that could be done from the peaceful kingdom, the fields burned. Lorimers kingdom fought, only holding together by the fact that multiple clans of the kingdom stood together. However, their numbers did not mean much in the face of dragons who lived and toiled their days away and beastclans that spent much of their life training to fight dragon. Lorimer would not give up hope though, even as the war stretched on. Desperation came when the fires began to creep up his own clan’s door though. While a ruler in Light and because of his warm disposition, many often forgot that Lorimer was actually born under the Arcanist's gaze. In desperation, he called upon his old god’s birth given abilities of the stars and stormed out at those who would harm his family and people.

The land of flowers, charred for weeks by jealous rage, crystalized in an instant with Lorimer’s own fury. Unable to cope with the sudden increased dark energy flowing throughout the field, slowing them down with delirium and anguish, the bitter dragon clan and what was left of the beastclan members retreated.

The fields would never fully recover after this. It would take years for the ground to bloom again. On occasion the beastclans would still attempt to pillage the further edges of the kingdom, but they feared Lorimer’s wrath too much to get closer. The once peaceful kingdom tried to stay humble, but in the depths they had lost much innocence, Lorimer included. They made sure to always be prepared, to fight, to defend, for war could always be around the corner from those who would rather take then ask for help, from those who would rather watch the world burn with them.
