"may you live every day of your life." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ A weathered, wisened old serpent whose years weigh on his bones like shackles. Kosciuszko's life has bore countless stories, many of which he either cannot or chooses not to recollect. Little is known about his history before his alignment with the since-dissolved Clan Celestian, save for the fact that he does have a daughter--Lumen. Whatever other details she may know about her father, however, are similarly kept under lock and key. Much of Kosciuszko's life has been spent within the bounds of first, Clan Celestian, and now, the Oceanarium; therefore, the mysteries of his youth are of little consequence to Baklajan. He began as a reclusive and uneasy clanmate, generally serving as a member of hunting parties and putting to use his combat prowess when needed. He did not disclose what had happened to his wings, why they were frozen and lifeless, but proved himself perfectly capable without them. Clanmates and companions came to respect him. And as he came to terms with himself and settled in his own skin, so too did he settle into a profession: an exalt trainer. Now endlessly serene, brimming with fathomless wisdom, and still powerful and skilled enough to best even the most impressive young warriors, Kosciuszko aids his pupils along the physical and mental journey that is preparation to serve their chosen god. On paper, this is generally the Tidelord. But this old creature believes the young should have the right to devote their lives to what and whom they choose, and if his pupils' loyalty lies in the deity of wind, or of nature, or of shadow, then so be it. He is in no place to judge (though he claims all his students intend to serve the Tidelord, "to his knowledge.") For a dragon whose destiny is that of an exalted one, Kosciuszko's grove in the Oceanarium is a haven. His level head soothes their frayed nerves as they prepare themselves in this underwater sanctum, brimming with ocean-tinted light and brightened by their master's many potted plants; it seems he is an ambitious green claw, as well. An experienced gardener, and yet... he cannot prune his own thorns. |
