Raptor's story is not a special one. Gore and bloodshed, the expected upbringing of a mirror of the Plaguelands, encapsulates his background well. He has little else to say on the matter, and few have the interest to press further.

But there is one key difference between him and his Plagueborn kin.

They hunt and kill to survive. He does it to live.

The power of holding life between one's claws... and the potential to clip an existence short in an instant. He finds it thrilling, intoxicating. His purpose in life is pitting himself against other lives in an eternal competition he has yet to lose.

Unlike the packs of the Wasteland, he does not rely on others. He strayed from his family, opting instead to hunt alone, to hone his wit and his talons. Though he cared little for treasure, his skills were quite sought-after, and so it seemed natural to take up what he loved as a career. He eventually wandered into Arcane territory, wishing to challenge himself against new foes, and somehow found himself employed as a monster hunter to a sleepy little clan in a cave. It didn't matter. He got paid for doing what he loved.

Then there was the coup. The former monster hunter of Clan Celestian was accepted with open arms into Baklajan's ranks, and she now employs him to eliminate particularly dangerous fauna that may threaten the Oceanarium. Aquatic hunting is a new and thrilling challenge, and the depths of the Sea bear monsters he has never had the pleasure of meeting. Baklajan honors his prowess with his elite status, and when he is home resting, he does so in luxury. Life is good.

He hasn't killed another dragon in some time... but if one were to find themself crossing his path, he may yet spill draconic blood again.
