Wheeling and dealing is just a part of the game that this dragon partakes in every single day. Bouncy and full of energy, Zelus will run up to you and convince you to purchase something from him before you can even think twice. A bright and happy dragon, even if his methods are a little less than ideal he still enjoys bringing joy into dragons' lives with his products. He also doesn't mind bringing joy to himself by lining his pocket with some clanking coins. This sort of behavior started young, back with his family. He was always bargaining with his siblings and flipping the script on adults, though this was through the use of light blackmailing. This is why the term "gray morality" always applied to him; he never saw an issue of conducting business in this way. He tries to keep his current business more professional, but sometimes these old habits sneak through the cracks carried on honeyed words. At least, that's what he'd like you to believe. Look a little deeper, and there's something darker there, something more dangerous. Ask about it, and he just gives you a crooked smile and a wink, but no real answers. Rumor has it, if you pass by his store late in the night while everyone but the nocturnal are sleeping, you can witness some interesting interactions through the windows...

• Zelus has no real desire to deal with his family, though he’s made an effort to not leave off on bad terms with any. It’s important to keep your connections intact, should you need them • does clandestine work as a fence for stolen and smuggled goods • also a dealer in information. Zelus keeps quite the stockpile of recent gossip and news acquired through black market dealings; fodder for blackmail, primarily. For the right price, they may be convinced to give away some of their intel • being honest (though, of course, he won’t be), Zelus might admit that Sage was his favourite sibling. He’s then go on to claim that she’s just the most tolerable out of the bunch, and that might well be true. Still, he thinks he shouldn’t care how anyone feels about him or his methods, but when it comes to Sage, that disappointment in her eyes feels like a stab to his chest. There’s a reason he doesn’t keep in contact with her despite their bond; Zelus never could lie to her.
