An exiled monarch, a monster that used to be, Alina left her home flight of light and now wanders the world in search of infamy that only an Emperor can demand. When she visited the clan in the Icewarden’s domain it was to late to realize it had been a grave mistake. Detained inside the prison. It was what became of those like herself, her only hope would be a lucky escape somehow but for now she was just going to have to bide her time until that opportunity. Alina shifted her massive undead body into a kneeling position and looked at the sky, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. She opened her eyes and stared at the sky with her hollow-looking sockets, a deep frown carved into her face. Her memories echoed in her head again: of the night her eyes had opened, of the voice whispering to her, of her sudden understanding, of the bloody tears... And the pain. The pain was still there, burning in her chest like a swarm of angry wasps. She had no idea how long she'd been here, kneeling in the mud with her eyes closed. She used to be so vengeful, so eager to seek destruction and pain for every slight against her. Now, she wanted nothing more than to curl up and hide away from the world, from all of this. Frozen tears poured out of her rotting eyes and rolled down her cheeks.

"Who are you?" A soft voice broke through her thoughts. It was so faint she wasn't sure at first—a mere whisper. But as her eyes slowly opened, she saw a young Fae perhaps early twenties, crouched down before her. His blue eyes were filled with an emotion she had never seen there before—tenderness. "I am an Emperor…" She said. "Or almost one…I'm undead…I'm *Sob* worthless…" She added in a whisper. "No, you are not. You are strong and beautiful. And you are not alone..." He said, reaching a gloved hand out toward her. "My siblings all died horribly, and my wings are broken. I am vengeful and spiteful, and those are the only emotions I feel. You are the same, aren't you?" "Yes. We are more similar than I thought." Emotions swirled in Alina's mind, but they were dulled and buried under the pain and the thirst. "Thank you…for caring…I will destroy those who harmed you." She said, "No." He said. "You don't need to do any more, I will help you. We will be avenged."

The pair made their way into the plains of Dragonhome, and just as quickly left; their presence seemed to attract another Emperor, a glittering beast with two heads and far too many eyes. They immediately attacked the pair and drove them far off of their lands.

It was time to say good-bye. Alina had protected Njada long enough. Njada had drawn her from the ground up, but Njada had found strength from within. Alina had been searching for herself in many ways, with a rotting body and decaying mind, and she had to let go. Alina stayed in the Clan with No Name. Njada went on. She would find her own way soon enough.

It seemed natural that Alina would take to the Scarred Wasteland next. A festering expanse, a place of death and undeath - maybe she could find some solace or kinship there. By chance, she passed a blind dragon who directed her to the nearby Varley Hotel. How long had it been since she'd been indoors aside from her time imprisoned? The staff welcomed her graciously and set a place for her at the dining table. The owner, Tatters, inquired about Alina's own travels. If he minded that she could hardly keep up with his conversation, he didn't show it. Her stay ended all too soon, but she left with a new perspective on the macabre.
